Dillard Concludes Volleyball Season with a Loss in NAIA Opening Round
ORANGE CITY, IA–In a dominant performance, Northwestern's women's volleyball team defeated Dillard (LA) in straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-14. The game took place at the Bultman Center in Orange City, Iowa, on November 23, 2024.
Overall, Northwestern's flawless record remains intact as they continue to dominate the competition in the 2024 season.
Dillard put up a tough fight but struggled with their attack, finishing with a .046 hitting percentage compared to Northwestern's impressive .341 hitting percentage.
Jazlin Douma led the way for Northwestern with 11 kills, while Alysen Dexter added 9 kills. Logan Miller contributed 17 assists, and Liv Reitsma had 16 assists to help set up their teammates for success.
On the other side, Vanae Sapp and Sara Da Silva led Dillard with 9 kills each, but it wasn't enough to overcome the strong offensive performance by Northwestern.
The match lasted just over an hour, showcasing the efficiency and skill of the Northwestern team. With this win, Northwestern remains undefeated and continues to solidify their position as a dominant force in the NAIA, while Dillard will be concluding their season.
