BOSSIER CITY, LA– Dillard emerged victorious in a dominant performance against Talladega in the HBCUAC Volleyball Championship on November 13, 2024 , with a final score of 3-0.

The Bleu Devils displayed a strong offensive game, with a total of 40 kills and a hitting percentage of .198. Vanae Sapp led the scoring for Dillard with 11 kills, while Cadence Thomas contributed with 8 kills. The team also showcased a solid defensive effort with 16 blocks throughout the game.

On the other hand, Talladega struggled to find their rhythm, with a hitting percentage of .032 and a total of 33 kills. Re'na Ashley was the top scorer for Talladega with 8 kills.

Overall, Dillard's cohesive performance on both offense and defense allowed them to secure the win against Talladega. This victory secured the Bleu Devils the title of HBCUAC Volleyball Champions. Making them the first volleyball champions under the rebranding of the conference.
