NEW ORLEANS–In a match-up between Dillard University and Southern University at New Orleans, it was Dillard who came out on top with a three-set victory at The Castle (SUNO). Dillard showed their dominance throughout the match, ultimately winning with scores of 25-9, 25-15, and 25-14.

Dillard's offense was firing on all cylinders, posting an impressive attack percentage of .437. Vanae Sapp led the team with 8 kills, while Sara Da Silva and Sarai Rogers added 7 kills each.
