Bleu Devils Suffer Defeat at William Carey

NEW ORLEANS- The William Carey Crusaders defeated the Dillard Bleu Devils in a competitive volleyball match on October 14, 2024. The final score was 3-1 in favor of William Carey.

The Crusaders dominated the first two sets, winning 25-10 and 25-15, but Dillard fought back in the third set to take it 25-18. However, William Carey closed out the match with a 25-16 victory in the fourth set. Suelen Lima led the way for William Carey with 15 kills and 3 blocks, while Sofia Bettini added 12 kills and 4 aces. Katarina Vulic contributed 41 assists to help set up her teammates for success.

For Dillard, Sara Da Silva had a strong performance with 8 kills and 3 blocks, while Neveah Bax added 6 kills and 1 block.

Overall, William Carey's strong offensive performance and solid defense proved to be the difference in this match. Both teams showed determination and skill, but it was the Crusaders who came out on top in the end.
