Dillard University Volleyball Falls to Southeastern Louisiana

Mobile, AL - In a competitive matchup on Saturday morning, Dillard University's volleyball team squared off against Southeastern Louisiana, suffering a tough defeat with a final score of 3-1.
Despite the loss, standout performances came from several Dillard players. Leading the effort was Cadence Thomas, who made a significant impact with 8 kills and a hitting percentage of .467. Gabrielle Washington also contributed with 6 kills, demonstrating her skill and determination on the court.
Sarai Rogers and Vanae Sapp had positive outings, racking up 2.5 and 7.5 points, respectively, showcasing their ability to score and rally the team. Makaela Swoopes displayed resilience with 7 kills on 25 attempts.
Although the team faced challenges, they showed grit and teamwork throughout the match, reflecting their potential for future games.
Head Coach Angela Franke expressed optimism following the match, stating, "While we didn't secure the win today, I am proud of how the team fought back and showed their skills on the court. We will take this experience into our practices and work on our communication and strategy for the upcoming matches."
