Bleu Devils Multi Performers Prepare for 2024 NAIA Women's Track and Field National Championship
New Orleans, LA - Kevell Byrd, Tori Burton, and Tanijal Matthews have all qualified for multiple events in the upcoming NAIA track and field championships, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Byrd, a six-time NAIA All-American, will be competing in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x1 relay, and 4x4 relay, proving herself to be a versatile and formidable athlete.
Burton, a sophomore, has also earned her spot in the 100m, 200m, and 4x1 relay events, demonstrating her speed and skill on the track. Matthews will be joining Byrd in the 100m, 200m, 4x1 relay, and 4x4 relay, forming a strong team of athletes ready to take on the competition.
The women's 4x4 relay team is ranked #18, while the 4x1 relay team holds the impressive ranking of #5. With alternates like Desire Robinson, Amari Sambolah, Ta'nyia Flowers, and Ryan Smith ready to step in if needed, the team is well-prepared for anything that comes their way.
