The Dillard Women’s Tennis Team Falls to the University of Mobile, 6-1, on Friday

New Orleans – The Dillard University women's tennis team (1-3) dropped a 6-1 decision to visiting the University of Mobile (3-1) on Friday, Feb. 25, at the City Park Tennis Center.

The Bleu Devils won the first doubles match with Kaavya Palani – Prerana Koirala defeating Mobile's team of Sofija Hrovat – Alina Schweizger 6-1

The second doubles match went Mobile's way as Paula John – Luana Wild defeated DU's Hafsa Sanhaji – Kayla Henningan 6-2.

In the first singles match, Dillard's Prerana Koirala fell to Maria Jose Reynaldo Toledo 6-2, 6-1

The second singles match saw Mobile's Sofija Hrovat beat DU's Hafsa Sanhaji 6-0, 6-0.

Dillard Kaavya Palani secured the 6-0, 6-0 win over Mobile's Melody Holcomb in the third singles match.

The fourth singles match saw Mobile's Andrea Sanchez defeat Dillard Kayla Henningan 6-1, 6-0..

Next, the DU women have a busy weekend playing in a tournament in Alexandria, Louisiana from Feb. 26-27. The program takes on Lewis - Clark State College on the first day starting at 11 a.m. The team concludes play with a 9 a.m. match against LSU Shreveport and then takes on host school LSU Alexandria at 1 p.m. on Feb. 27.
