Lady Bleu Devils Fall to Mobile at Mobile

PRICHARD,AL–In an intense matchup held at Pharr Gymnasium on January 27, 2025, the Mobile women's basketball team secured a solid victory over Dillard (LA) with a final score of 63-53. The game was marked by strategic plays and a significant third-quarter surge by Mobile that ultimately made the difference.

The contest began evenly, with both teams scoring 10 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Mobile took a slight edge, closing the half with a 23-20 advantage. However, it was the third quarter where Mobile truly shone, outscoring Dillard 18-4. This decisive period established a lead that Dillard could not overcome despite a valiant 19-point effort in the fourth quarter.

Mobile's Alanna Donaldson led her team with an impressive 20 points, showcasing efficiency with an 8-13 shooting performance. Her contribution included two crucial three-pointers. Braylee McMath also played a vital role, adding 13 points to the scoreboard. MacKenzie White's all-around performance was highlighted by her perfect shooting night, and she contributed significantly on the defensive end with seven rebounds and two blocks.

For Dillard, D'Mya Ferguson was a standout performer, scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, marking a double-double. Cassidy Lowe also made a significant impact with 11 points and led her team with 11 rebounds, further contributing to Dillard's intense rebounding efforts.
