The Men's Track Team Continues to Raise the Bar at Alabama Meet

NEW ORLEANS– Jamaal Morris Jr. took to the track with determination, showcasing his speed in the 60m dash. He completed three rounds, achieving impressive times of 6.89 seconds in both the first and second rounds, followed by a near-perfect 6.88 seconds in the final round.
Robert Jackson Jr. ran a solid race in the 60m dash, completing two rounds with times of 7.11 and 7.10 seconds, respectively.
Christopher Watson had a versatile day at the meet, marking notable performances in both the long jump and the 60m dash. He finished sixth in the long jump, showcasing his ability to combine speed and agility. In the 60m, he ranked 30th overall, which may not have been what he hoped for, but every attempt adds to his experience.
Markel Myles truly excelled during the competition, finishing second in the 60m hurdles with a remarkable time of 8.44 seconds, landing him at #3 in the school's all-time rankings. Additionally, Myles celebrated a personal best in the 400m, recording a lifetime best of 49.65 seconds.
Mark Emilien also contributed significantly with impressive finishes in the 400m and 200m events. He secured second place in the 400m, clocking in at 49.36 seconds, showing his speed and strength. In the 200m, his time of 22.15 seconds earned him a sixth-place finish.
Darren Petty Jr. had a commendable performance in both the 400m and 200m races, securing 8th place in each event. With a time of 50.04 seconds in the 400m. His efforts in the 200m were equally impressive, where he clocked in at 22.41 seconds.
Jordan Winder gave a notable performance as well, achieving an indoor personal best of 51.96 seconds in the 400m race. Finishing 16th overall.
