Bleu Devils Prepare for 2024 NAIA Men’s Track and Field National Championship
New Orleans, LA - As the track and field team prepared for the upcoming NAIA championships, excitement filled the air as four talented athletes secured their spots in multiple events.
Jamaal Morris Jr, a seasoned competitor and four-time NAIA All American, showed his prowess by qualifying in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x1, and 4x4 events. His dedication to training and relentless pursuit of excellence was evident in his exceptional performances.
Senior Kaleb McClendon displayed his speed and skill by qualifying in the 200m and 4x1 events, proving himself to be a valuable asset to the team.
Freshman Markel Myles made a strong impression by qualifying in the 400 hurdles and the 4x4 event, showcasing his potential for future success in the sport.
Mark Emilien also showcased his talent by qualifying in the 400m, 4x1, and 4x4 events, demonstrating his versatility as an athlete.
With the men's 4x4 relay team ranked #7 and the 4x1 relay team ranked #2, the team is poised for success at the championships. The addition of Christopher Watson as a reserve for the 4x1 and 4x4 events added depth to the team and ensured they were well-prepared for any scenario.
