Bleu Devils Continue to have Top Performances at the Pelican Relays
Jamaal Morris Jr had a stellar performance at the track meet, winning the 100m with an impressive time of 10.53 seconds. Although he finished third in the 200m with a time of 20.82, that time ranked him #2 in the NAIA.
Kaleb McClendon also had a strong showing in the 200m, finishing with a respectable time of 21.55. Meanwhile, Mark Emilien displayed his versatility by competing in both the 200m and the 400m, running times of 21.84 and 48.32 respectively.
Christopher Watson had a busy weekend, participating in multiple events including the 200m, high jump, long jump, and triple jump. His various talents were on full display as he excelled in each competition.
Jordan Winder impressed in the 400m, finishing with a time of 52.13. Malik Durant also had a solid performance in the 800m, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:00.85.
Jordan Yates showcased his hurdling skills in both the 110m hurdles (15.77) and the 400m hurdles (59.44), proving to be a formidable competitor in both events. Eric Wilkinson-Hickson ran a season best time of 18.04 in the 110m hurdles, showing steady improvement in his performance.
Freshman Markel Myles made his mark in the 400m hurdles, finishing second with a time of 53.68. Nobie Harris had a standout day in the throwing events, achieving personal bests in shot put, discus, and hammer throw.
Teammates Damion Hammond Jr and Stanley Rhone also showed improvement in the hammer throw, with Hammond Jr throwing 24.24m and Rhone reaching 32.31m. Overall, the team demonstrated their talent, dedication, and hard work at the meet, setting the stage for more success in future competitions.
