Dillard University Dominates Millsaps College in Men's Tennis Match
NEW ORLEANS– In a commanding display of skill and strategy, Dillard University's men's tennis team secured a decisive victory against Millsaps College, winning 6-1 at the Dillard University Tennis Courts. The match highlighted Dillard's dominance across both doubles and singles competitions.
Dillard University swept the doubles matches, setting a strong tone for the rest of the competition. The #1 doubles team, composed of Siddarth Arya and Jesus Rodriguez, defeated Millsaps' Sam Tuli and Anderson Dulaney with a convincing score of 6-3. Similarly, the #2 doubles team, Nour Ibrahim and Yassine Ben Jemaa, overcame Carson Chassaignac and Brady St. Martin 6-2. Rounding out the doubles victories, Seungwoo Son and Daniel Crowie triumphed over Sam Willard and Sebastian Gonzalez with a 6-2 score in the #3 position.
Dillard's prowess continued in the singles matches. At the #1 singles position, Nour Ibrahim defeated Sam Tuli in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Jesus Rodriguez, playing at #2 singles, bested Carson Chassaignac with a score of 6-2, 6-1. The only setback for Dillard came at the #3 singles position where Anderson Dulaney managed to clinch a victory for Millsaps, defeating Siddarth Arya 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
Daniel Sich maintained Dillard's momentum by overpowering Brady St. Martin 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles. Amar Erdenechuluun and Daniel Mankowski further extended Dillard's lead with commanding performances at #5 and #6 singles, both winning their matches 6-0, 6-0 against Sam Willard and Caleb Solangi, respectively.
