Dillard Athletics Welcomes Jaylon Chapman, First Trinidadian, to the Men's Tennis Team

NEW ORLEANS– Jaylon Chapman signed to Dillard on December 12, 2024. He is excited to come to the states and pursue his bachelor's degree at Dillard University.

Regarding his tennis career Chapman stated, "I have represented Trinidad and Tobago 3 times, qualifying and playing in the #1 position everytime I took part, and I am a national champion."

Coach Meenakshi is also excited for Champman's addition as he will be adding to the team's winning culture.

Chapman chose to sign with Dillard because "Dillard University provides an atmosphere that challenges you; between the coach, classes, and peers, they create an environment where I can see myself growing socially, academicly, and athletically. Dillard already feels like a home away from home which will allow me to embrace my true self and to discover the new."
