The Dillard Men’s Tennis Team Falls To Texas Wesleyan University, 5-2, on Saturday

New Orleans – The Dillard University men's tennis team (1-6), after having their original scheduled match for this weekend postponed due to weather, were able to quickly line-up a match against Texas Wesleyan University on Saturday, March 12, at XULA's Tennis Center. The program fell to the Rams by a 5-2 score though.

The Bleu Devils lost the first doubles point with Felix Hamp – Yassine Ben Jemaa falling to Mathieu Vinet  - Arthur Volseux by a 6-3 score.

The Rams second doubles team of Andres Gonzalez – Pablo Olmedo picked up the 6-2 victory over Boris Aguma – Albert Segura.

The third DU doubles team of Youssef Berrajah – Pranav Mehta fell to TWU's Jose Merino – Lucas Freire 6-3.

In singles play, Ben Jemma lost to Vimet in the top spot 6-4, 6-2

In the second-seed, Dillard's Segura won 7-6 over Texas Wesleyan's Gonzalez

The third seed was another TWU victory as Olmedo defeated Aguma, 6-4, 6-3

The fourth seed saw Texas Wesleyan's Volseux earn the 6-3, 6-4 win over Hamp.

The fifth seed was a Dillard victory with Berrajah picked up the 7-6, 2-6, 10-1 win over Freire

The sixth seed saw Texas Wesleyan's Merino earn the 6-3, 6-3 victory over Dillard's Mehta.

Next, the DU men come back home to take on Xavier University of Louisiana on Friday, March 18, at 3 p.m. at XULA's Tennis Center.
