NEW ORLEANS – In a commanding performance, Loyola secured a decisive 91-71 victory over Dillard in a collegiate basketball matchup held at The Den in New Orleans. The game, which took place on February 20, 2025, saw Loyola improve their record to 11-15 while Dillard slipped to 17-10.
The contest started with Loyola establishing a strong foothold, leading 38-23 by halftime. This advantage was further extended in the second half as Loyola outscored Dillard 53-48, sealing their 20-point victory.
Loyola showcased an impressive shooting performance, converting 58.2% of their field goal attempts. Kameron Johnson was instrumental for Loyola, contributing 19 points and 9 rebounds, while Kosta Bjelicic added 16 points. The team's efficiency from the field was complemented by their ability to share the ball, recording 32 assists throughout the game. Despite a lower free-throw percentage at 42.9%, Loyola's field play was enough to secure the win.
