Bleu Devils Secure Second Conference Victory against the Ambassadors of Oakwood University

NEW ORLEANS– In a matchup between Oakwood University and Dillard University on December 13, 2024, Dillard came out on top with a final score of 78-58. Dillard University had a strong offensive showing, shooting 50.8% from the field and 72.7% from the free-throw line. Bentravin Phillips led Dillard with 19 points, followed closely by Ben Fort with 15 points.

Oakwood University struggled on offense, shooting only 31.4% from the field. Jamarkus Alexander was the leading scorer for Oakwood with 12 points. 

Both teams had a technical foul called against them during the game, showing some intensity on the court. Dillard University improves their record to 6-4, and 2-1 in confernce while Oakwood University falls to 1-10.

Overall, Dillard University's strong offensive performance and solid defense led them to victory in this matchup. They will look to carry this momentum into their next game of the HBCUAC Crossover. The Bleu Devils will be back in action tomorrow against Stillman College.
