Bleu Devils Bounce Back with 17-point Victory Over Mobile
NEW ORLEANS–The Dillard University men's basketball team secured a decisive 82-65 victory over the University of Mobile. The win improved Dillard's record to 5-3 overall.
Dillard's strong performance was led by Tory Cargo, who contributed 19 points, 3 steals, and 8 assists. Khalif Allim also had a standout game, with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Bentravin Phillips added 16 points, while Justin Warren chipped in with 12 points.
On the other side, Mobile's Ezra McKenna had an impressive game, leading all scorers with 22 points and 23 rebounds. However, Mobile struggled as a team, shooting only 39.7% from the field and 18.8% from beyond the arc.
Dillard dominated the game in multiple aspects, shooting 50% from the field and 87.5% from the free-throw line. They also outrebounded Mobile 39-30 and dished out 22 assists as a team.
Overall, Dillard's well-rounded team effort and efficient shooting allowed them to secure the victory over Mobile. The win serves as a statement for Dillard as they continue to prepare for conference play and work towards their goals for the season.
