Bleu Devils Prevail over Buccaneers
St. Thomas, USVI- Dillard (LA) emerged victorious in a close battle against Virgin Islands with a final score of 67-59, at the Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center.
In the first half, Virgin Islands took an early lead with a score of 32-29. However, Dillard (LA) managed to turn the tide in the second half, outscoring their opponents 38-27. This strong performance in the second half ultimately secured their victory.
Dillard (LA) had several standout players who contributed to their success. Armond Williams had an impressive performance, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Tony White also made a significant impact, scoring 18 points and contributing 5 rebounds. Tory Cargo added 16 points to the team's total.
On the Virgin Islands side, Jalil Langston led the team with 17 points, including five three-pointers. Maurice Smith Jr. also had a solid performance, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
