Dillard Narrowly Escapes Jarvis Christian with Last Second Field Goal
Hawkins, TX- Dillard narrowly defeated Jarvis Christian in a close basketball game with a final score of 69-68. The contest wouldgo down to the wire and be decided on a final shot attempt made by Justin Warren.
In the first half, Jarvis Christian took an early lead, outscoring Dillard 41-32. However, Dillard made a strong comeback in the second half, outscoring Jarvis Christian 37-27. The game came down to the wire, with Dillard securing the win by just one point.
Tory Cargo was the standout player for Dillard, scoring 25 points and contributing 9 rebounds. Tyrus Crawford also had a strong performance, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Justin Warren added 11 points and 4 assists.
For Jarvis Christian, Jamari Robertson led the team with 18 points, while James Phillip Russel scored 16 points. Leland Kirkendoll had a solid performance off the bench, contributing 12 points.
