The first half saw LSU Alexandria take a slight lead, with a score of 35-32. However, Dillard fought back in the second half and outscored their opponents 40-35, ultimately securing the win.
Dillard held LSU Alexandria to 0 points in the final minute of the game. Mobolaji Adesoga would make a big three to cut the General's lead to three, and Justin Warren would make an acrobatic layup to bring the contest to a tie. New Orleans native Tory Cargo gave the Bleu Devils the lead with a steal and Dunk at the other end. Dillard's defense would then cap off the comeback win to excite the crowd.
