Bleu Devils Gear Up To Take on Reigning National Champs

New Orleans,LA- The Bleu Devils will take on a familiar foe as they travel to Loyola of New Orleans tomorrow, November 3, 2022. The two teams' history dates back to 1991 when the Bleu Devils took the first matchup, 104-61. Since the first matchup, Dillard has had a commanding lead in the win-loss column, having a 31-21 record. As of late, Dillard has lost five games in a row to Loyola-NO. This year will be another big test for the Bleu Devils as Loyola-No is also the reigning NAIA national basketball champion. The Bleu Devils have started the season with three big wins and seem to accumulate more momentum each game. The wins came from the outstanding performances of Dwight Felton as well as Kenyon Duling. Both players are averaging double-digit points. Dillard also has the GCAC player of the week in Ty'Ohn Trimble, who almost managed to have a triple-double against the University of Fort Lauderdale. As of now, Ty'Ohn is averaging 12 pts, 7 ast, and 5 rebs. Dillard has also had some dominant big-man play from Tyrus Crawford and Jeremiah August, who are neck and neck for team rebound leader. The Bleu Devils will look to build on what is shaping up to be a great season.
