Bleu Devils Kick-Off Season In Dent Hall

New Orleans,LA- The Bleu Devils men's basketball team will kick off their season this Thursday, October 27th, 2022, against John Melvin University. There will be some familiar faces in new roles as Ashanti Gray makes his Interim Debut. Last year's team fell short of a championship run in the first round of the GCAC tournament as they were defeated by Fisk University. The Bleu Devils only returned two players from last year's roster: Tyrus Crawford and all-conference performer Jeremiah August. Jeremiah averaged 7.5 points and 11 rebounds last season. He played in 22 games. He was a first-team selection last season. Jeremiah also led the Bleu Devils in total rebounds and rebounds per game. The rest of the Bleu Devils are new to the program but look to make an immediate impact. Coach Gray, "I'm excited to see our Dillard men in action with the season-opening up. This will be an exciting year for us as we look forward to the challenge.
