Dillard Men’s Basketball’s Elijah Moore Named the GCAC Player of the Week For Second Time This Season
New Orleans– Dillard men's basketball senior guard Elijah Moore was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season and in his career on Feb. 14, the conference announced this afternoon.
Moore averaged 33 points and 5.0 rebounds a game for Dillard last week as the program lost a 72-70 game to Tougaloo College (2/12). The 33 points were a career-high for Moore. He accounted for 47 percent of the team's points. In the game he shot 63 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and was a perfect 3-for-3 at the line. Moore scored 19 of his 33 points in the second half when Dillard was attempting to hold off the hard charging Tougaloo Bulldogs. He also had five rebounds and two steals.
He was also named the GCAC Player of the Week on Jan. 11, 2022.
This is the seventh time this year that a Dillard men's basketball player has been named the GCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Next, the Dillard men's basketball team (8-15) hosts Philander Smith College on Thursday, Feb. 14, at Dent Hall at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night for Moore, Elijah Pittman, Nicholas Carmouche and Kaleb Allison.
