Dillard Men’s Basketball’s Kaleb Allison Named the GCAC Player of the Week

New Orleans– Dillard men's basketball senior forward Kaleb Allison was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Player of the Week for the first time this season on Jan. 19, the conference announced this afternoon.

Allison averaged 18 points and 4.0 rebounds a game for Dillard last week in the game against No. 3 nationally ranked Talladega. He scored 18 points in the 75-73 loss to Talladega on Jan. 13. Allison shot 5-for-10 from the field (50 percent) and 8-for-13 from the line (61.5 percent). He scored 14 of his 18 points and pulled down all four of his rebounds in the final 20 minutes of action.

This is the fifth time this year that a Dillard men's basketball player has been named the GCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Next, the Dillard men's basketball team (5-12) opens league play on the road at Tougaloo College on Thursday, Jan. 20, at 7:30 p.m. The program then returns home to host Fisk University at Dent Hall on Monday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
