BIRMINGHAM, AL–In a thrilling baseball matchup on February 9, 2025, Dillard University narrowly defeated Miles College with a score of 6-5 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. The game, which lasted just over two hours, was marked by a series of strategic plays and pivotal moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Dillard took an early lead in the second inning when K'Wality Williams scored on a sacrifice fly by Braylon Guerin, capitalizing on a fielding error by Miles College. Miles College responded in the fourth inning, tying the game at 1-1 with an RBI single by C. Warren. However, Dillard quickly regained the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, thanks to an RBI single by Tyler Fitch and another by Derrald Moore Jr.
