Pineville, LA - Louisiana Christian showcased their dominance over Dillard (LA) with a 12-4 victory.
Dillard (LA) managed to get on the scoreboard in the third inning when G. Alvarez drove in D. Moore with a groundout. However, Louisiana Christian quickly responded with another run in the fourth inning, thanks to a double by N. Brunet.
Dillard (LA) showed signs of a comeback in the fifth inning, as J. Ayers delivered a two-run single, bringing the score to 8-3. But Louisiana Christian maintained their lead with a run of their own in the bottom of the fifth, courtesy of a single by C. Duhon.
In the sixth inning, Dillard (LA) managed to add another run to their total when T. Fitch scored on a balk. However, Louisiana Christian quickly shut down any hopes of a comeback with a three-run homer by B. Sers in the bottom of the sixth.
Overall, Louisiana Christian's dominant offensive display, combined with their strong pitching, proved to be too much for Dillard (LA) to handle. The victory improved Louisiana Christian's record to 4-0, while Dillard (LA) fell to 0-4. Dillard will resume play in a four game home series versus Jarvis Christian, February 3-4, 2024 at Wesley Barrow Stadium.
