New Orleans,LA- Dillard Baseball falls short in a double header against Loyola-NO. The Bleu Devils are still trying to find a rhythm after winning two in a row against Dallas Christian. The Blue Devils have trended as starting well but fielding errors have been the downfall. Dillard had 4 errors during the series which all turned int to points for the Wolfpack. Dillard will look to get back on track as they renew the baseball rivalry with XULA this Friday and Saturday, Feb 10-11th.
In game one the Bleu Devils kept the Wolfpack to a 3-point lead moving into the 4th inning. In the bottom half of the 4th, the wolfpack would score 7 runs to go up 10-0. This game would be decided by the run rule in the 6th inning. Ty'Mithcell McCollough had a good performance at bat going 2 for 3.
The second game would see the trend of the Bleu Devils struggling to get pitching going as they fell 14-1. The Bleu Devils would send 3 different pitchers to the mound to defeat the Wolfpack. McCollough would lead the Bleu Devils again with 2 hits in 4 at-bats. Dillard looks to get back into the win column this weekend against cross town rival, Xavier-NO
