The Dillard University Athletics Department Leads Conference With 85 Student-Athletes Named to the 2021-22 GCAC Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll

New Orleans – The Dillard University's athletics department had a league-best 85 student-athletes named to the 2021-22 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, the league recently announced.

Dillard's 85 recipients were the most in the league by 16 student-athletes. All honorees posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the 2021-22 academic year, were members on the active roster and have achieved sophomore classification. The Commissioner's Honor Roll is the GCAC's highest individual academic honor. A total of 228 student-athletes in the GCAC were named to league's honor roll.

Dillard's men's track and field program led the school with 18 selections, followed closely by 17 from cheerleading, 12 from volleyball, 11 from women's basketball, 10 from women's track and field, six from men's cross country, four from dance, four from women's cross country and three from men's basketball.
